Since childhood, Dr. Amy Shah’s inquisitive, hands-on spirit has led her to a lifelong love of creating strong, healthy smiles. At the age of 12, Dr. Amy moved from Arizona’s sun-drenched, desert landscapes to Chicago’s charming, concrete corridors - the place she now calls home.
Dr. Amy attended dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she earned her DMD. After graduating, she began helping others as a general dentist for 5 years, and served as a Dental Director for a community health center in the Windy City for the last 3. With a passion for treating children, Dr. Amy headed back to the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she completed her pediatric dental residency. Today, Dr. Amy is a board-certified pediatric dentist and holds numerous awards in her field. Through her outstanding patient care and attentiveness, Dr. Amy is providing children of all ages and developmental stages with thriving oral health. As an extrovert, her favorite facet of pediatric dentistry is truly getting to know the tiniest, yet most meaningful details about her patients.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Amy fills her days with reading, biking, enjoying Chicago’s diverse and delicious food scene, and spending time with her 2 daughters and husband. If you’re looking for a compassionate pediatric dentist near you, she can’t wait to meet you and your family!
Dr. Kayla is a Chicagoland native hailing from the northern suburbs but now calls the city home. She left the Windy City to attend undergrad at Washington University in St. Louis (but maintains her love for the Cubs). Afterwards, she attended dental school in the Big Apple at Columbia University earning her DDS degree. While at Columbia, Dr. Kayla developed a passion for treating children with all needs and medical complexities volunteering with after school programs to provide oral hygiene instructions and have some fun along the way! This drove her to move back to Chicago and attend the University of Illinois Chicago for pediatric dental residency earning her MS and completing a research project on the COVID-19 pandemic impacts on oral care.
When not talking to kids about the latest episodes of Bluey, princess movie or singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, she enjoys being a dog mom to her golden mountain dog. She also loves binging the latest show on any streaming service, trying the newest restaurants in Chicago or enjoying the latest Taylor Swift Album. Her energetic personality is excited to meet you and be a part of the Milktooth family!
